The aloe belongs to the succulent family and can store water and nutrients in its fleshy leaves. In this way, it also survives periods of drought and will not take it amiss if you don't water it as often. The root ball can dry out before watering again. The plant can stand in full sun. It grows slowly, but needs to be repotted into a larger pot after two to three years.
