Celastrus orbiculatus 'ist eine schnell wachsende Kletterpflanze, die auch in Niederländisch als "Boomwurger" bezeichnet wird. Der Kletterer verliert seine Blätter im Winter, damit er sich nicht immergrün bezeichnen kann. Wenn der Celastrus eine erwachsene Pflanze ist, kann er etwa 4 Meter hoch erreichen. Von Mai bis Juli können Sie rote Blumen genießen, die Bienen und Schmetterlinge anziehen. Nach der Blüte von Oktober bis Februar wird der Boomwurger mit gelben Beeren rot.
