Dipping instead of pouring

If you want to save your dry plant from dying, you should immerse it and the pot in a bucket filled with water. The plant pot should have a drainage hole. If no more air bubbles rise, this is a sign that the earth has absorbed enough water.

You should then let the pot drain in the air until no more water comes out of the pot. Then the pot can go back into the cachepot. You still have to make sure that you water regularly and always pour off excess water immediately.

Pruning and fertilizing

You must take your time and cut out everything that has dried up, even if the whole plant has not yet suffered. Try giving your plant a boost with some fertilizer. But be careful, too much also damages the plant.
