The ficus can be in a light to partially shaded location. Once you've chosen a spot for him, it's a good idea to leave him there as well. Because it costs the plant a lot of energy to get used to a new location. If the ficus grows too much in one direction, you can of course rotate it. Don't let the root balls dry out, the ficus needs a lot of water.
